Directory of Open Access eBooks is a service of OAPEN Foundation. The DOAB allows users to search for open access books on a variety of topics including agriculture, food sciences, business & economics, general, health sciences, mathematics, statistics, social sciences, and more.
 
HathiTrust is a partnership of institutions, offering a collection of millions of titles digitized from libraries around the world.
 
Internet Archive is a non-profit library of providing access to free books, movies, music, and more.
 
Planet eBook provides access to free classic literature.
 
Project Gutenberg was the first provider of free eBooks. Currently Project Gutenberg provides access to over 50,000 books.
